Accounting Support Specialist (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Identify, post, and reconcile incoming cash payments from multiple bank accounts to customer trade receivable balances and other accounts as applicable,
• Prepare cash posting packages for management review and approval. Archive all cash posting packages to Sharepoint to enable company-wide access,
• Partner with customers, billers, and other KBR departments to identify incoming payments where remittance detail is lacking,
• Track receipts per bank/per day to verify all cash is posted and to support related SOX testing of cash receipts,
• Complete limited amount of account reconciliations in support of month end closing processes,
• Under direct supervision, works within the Shared Services A/R team to complete assigned tasks that may require problem recognition/solving skills.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Bachelor's degree preferred - high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience.
• Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.
• Familiarity with bank reporting practices is preferred but not required.
• Basic/Intermediate Excel skills are required, including use of pivot tables and certain logical and mathematical formulas.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, analysis, and ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with other team members is a must.
