Responsibilities
- Implement and assist with individualized treatment plans for residents under the supervision of an OT, focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
- Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to promote strength, range of motion, ADLs, and functional mobility.
- Document therapy sessions, resident progress, and goal attainment accurately and in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Monitor resident responses to therapy, adjust activities within scope, and communicate changes to the supervising therapist.
- Collaborate with the OT team, nursing staff, and care planning teams to coordinate care and ensure resident safety and continuity of therapy.
- Maintain equipment, ensure proper infection control, and follow safety protocols during therapy sessions.

Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing with eligibility to practice in South Dakota.
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and participate in a day shift.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams.
- Documentation accuracy and compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
- Prior LTC experience preferred but not required.
