About the Position

Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36's or 48's Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required. - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification required. Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Engages in independent judgment in the delivery of patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to the health status of patients. Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward achieving outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care. Creates a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment for patients. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly conveys health information to patients, families, and treatment team members. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates responsibilities appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Adheres to organizational requirements for vaccinations as a condition of employment. Participates in necessary verification processes as required.
