Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Production Control Material Control Specialist 2nd Shift Date: Apr 24, 2026 Location: Ellabell, GA, US JOB TITLE Production Control Material Control WHAT YOU WILL DO Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to place orders, control spec change and manage logistics chain while resolving any supply chain disruptions. Analyzes and develops material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules and forecasted demand. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal standards. Maintaining accurate records of inventory and tracking the movement of materials within the plant. Maintaining optimal inventory levels (days on hand) for raw materials, sub‑assemblies, etc. to prevent shortages. Developing and implementing inventory control procedures and systems to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste. Performing regular physical inventory counts to reconcile inventory levels and identify discrepancies or shortages. Analyzing data related to inventory levels, lead times, and usage patterns to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings. Identifies material requirements and timing by direct acquisition of materials to support production schedules. Generate and analyze planning reports to proactively maintain consistent material availability. Continuously evaluates cost reduction improvements in material ordering and inventory control management. Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing Management, Logistics, or related field. 2+ years in material control/planning, inventory management, supply chain management or related job experience. Familiarity with inventory management software and tools. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Experience in material control, inventory management, procurement, and/or logistics. Ability to articulate, write, and present clearly to management. Advanced Microsoft Applications expertise. Knowledge of transportation principles and methods. Proficient in SAP. Working Hours (Shift) Requirement Employment opportunities at HMGMA will be completed on multiple phases. Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively. Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required. Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly. Consistent and punctual attendance. Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
