This role will play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, completing reconciliations, and supporting month-end accounting processes. The ideal candidate has previous experience working directly with a general ledger and understands how day-to-day transactions flow into accurate financial reporting. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining organized and accurate financial records. What You’ll Do Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare and post journal entries and ensure transactions are properly recorded Complete account and balance sheet reconciliations and research discrepancies Assist with month-end close and financial reporting Process and review accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions Manage credit card transactions, reconciliations, and reporting Review financial records for accuracy, completeness, and proper account coding Assist with payroll processing as needed, serving as backup support Support benefits administration and related documentation Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with company policies and procedures Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed Pay: $21.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule Part-time Monday and Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Optional additional hours on Wednesdays We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at all levels of the organization. Requirements What We’re Looking For Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Working knowledge of AP and AR processes Familiarity with credit card processing and reconciliations Basic understanding of payroll and benefits administration Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet accounting deadlines Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a team Summary We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
