Senior Bookkeeper / Client Accounting Specialist - Part-Time

Whitefish Bookkeeping, LLC is a growing bookkeeping firm based in Whitefish, Montana, seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Client Accounting Specialist to join our team. This is a part-time W-2 position (Approximately 20 hours/week) with flexibility to work remotely. We are especially interested in Whitefish/Flathead Valley candidates who would enjoy opportunities to work together in person, meet with local clients, and become part of our growing local team. What You'll Do Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of small-business clients Complete reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting Troubleshoot discrepancies and assist with cleanup projects Review bookkeeping work for accuracy Communicate directly with clients Assist with payroll and other accounting projects as needed What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience; 5+ years preferred Strong QuickBooks Online experience required Solid understanding of reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end close Organized, dependable, and able to work independently Xero, payroll, property management, or real estate accounting experience is a plus Schedule: 15–25 hours/week, with availability generally between 9 AM–4 PM Mountain Time Location: Flexible/remote, with in-person opportunities in Whitefish and the Flathead Valley Employment: W-2 Whitefish Bookkeeping serves small businesses and entrepreneurs, with a focus on real estate, property management, restaurants, and service-based businesses.
