Manager and Head of NA Customer Quality/Warranty (Hybrid Office Schedule in Farmington Hills, MI) Your Contribution As a Manager and Head of BU2 NA Customer Quality/Warranty reporting to the Head of Quality – BU2, you will manage the BU2 NA region Warranty management systems, evaluate product field performance, manage customer warranty debits, improve product field/warranty cost, interface with customers, coordinate with plants and engineering on field issue resolution, and manage Significant and Top Quality Issues for BU2 NA. Key Responsibilities Manage product field performance (warranty) issues. Review customer debits for approval or dispute. Continuously improve warranty systems and product field performance. Provide field failure prevention input to Product Engineering and Process Planning. Negotiate warranty debits and technical factors with customers. Review and update Customer Warranty Agreements; raise issues when terms are not acceptable. Manage multiple high‑profile, high‑cost potential issues simultaneously. Use logical data‑based problem solving for warranty/field issues. Coordinate root‑cause analysis and corrective actions with Plants, Process Engineering, and Product Engineering. Drive rapid actions to minimize financial impact of field issues to MAHLE and customers. Your Experience & Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering required; master’s degree desirable. Minimum 7 years’ experience; leadership or supervision highly desired. Experience in Product or Systems Engineering desired. Problem‑solving experience; Green Belt/Black Belt a plus. Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
