Key Account Manager

Our client is a biotechnology company established to commercialize an innovative prostate cancer diagnostic test. This discovery originated from a genetic breakthrough at a prestigious university, leading to the company’s formation.

Our client is in search of a dynamic Key Account Manager to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will bring a high-level of business development expertise to engage with physicians and healthcare facilities in promoting and facilitating future diagnostic solutions. This involves a urine-based liquid biopsy aimed at aiding doctors in enhancing patient care by averting unnecessary prostate biopsies. The perfect fit for this role will oversee all sales operations for a growing CLIA certified diagnostic enterprise. The individual must effectively manage daily business affairs, collaborate with various team members in the organization, and show commitment to resolving challenges promptly as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day sales operations within designated territory
• Display proficiency in applying scientific concepts during sales processes
• Regularly interact with sales counterparts nationwide
• Provide accurate territory forecasts as needed
• Engage with Sales, Marketing, CLIA lab professionals, operations, and executive team
• Offer timely assistance and solutions to inquiries from customers, patients, providers, and partners
• Focus on process enhancement for increased efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with lab operations to ensure successful functions like launches, conferences, and process improvements
• This role involves handling PHI. Thus, the ideal candidate should possess experience in managing PHI
• New hires will be required to complete HIPAA/PHI training
• Commitment to staying informed about Diagnostics’ offerings and services
• Travel responsibilities – minimum 50%

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree mandatory with at least 5-10 years' experience in sales to physician offices and healthcare networks
• Previous sales experience in Urology or Diagnostics highly preferred
• Demonstrated history of successful sales accomplishments
• Ability to build trust with senior healthcare professionals
• Excellent enthusiasm, communication skills (written and verbal), and capacity to develop impactful messages for customers and executives
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Capable of traveling at least 50% of the work week
• Ability to lift and deliver MPS kits to physician offices
• Strong analytical skills to identify performance trends and operational metrics for improvement purposes
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
• Varied background including clinical labs, marketing, and sales team exposure
• Effective client relationship management for growth trends and exceeding territory goals
• Properly allocate time across the territory with 90% field work
• Exhibit close understanding of territory and current customer needs for precise monthly forecasting by physician
• Utilize company resources efficiently for optimal business outcomes
• Maintain accurate Travel & Expense budget for territory
• Take full responsibility for administrative tasks like CRM utilization and weekly reporting
• Adhere to all business interactions with integrity, compliance with laws and regulations, and accordance with the organization's policies
