Fleet Technician CDL Required

Automotive Technician UPS is currently seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. Responsibilities and Duties Meet D.O.T. requirements and CDL qualifications required by job assignment. Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and pivots frequently throughout duration of workday. Opens both standard and manual transmissions and operates power and pneumatic tools. Performs tasks that require simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level. Operates Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certified. Fulfills all requirements for safe and efficient vehicle maintenance. Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Current documented automotive mechanical experience. Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computer. Possession of full complement of personal hand tools. CLD Class B with Air Brakes, Manual Transmission, and 5th wheel or a CDL Class A. Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, and occasional weekends. Dependable with regular and timely attendance. Prepared to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime. Wears personal protective equipment as required. Works in an environment with variable temperatures, humidity, exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise. Cooperates in a diverse work environment. Communicates effectively through sight, hearing, and otherwise. Compensation and Benefits The starting pay for this position is $37.12 per hour. For union‑represented postings, wage rates and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
