They are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at their facility in Columbia, SC.This role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, maximizing uptime, improving preventative maintenance programs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to build a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellenceKey ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians while fostering a hands-on, lead-by-example cultureOversee daily maintenance activities, staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management Develop, implement, and improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability Troubleshoot and support mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems Analyze maintenance KPIs, downtime trends, and equipment performance data to drive continuous improvement initiativesUtilize CMMS systems and maintenance data for planning, tracking, and decision-makingManage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement processes to ensure critical components are availableLead root cause analysis efforts and implement long-term corrective actions to prevent recurring failuresSupport capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and company policies while promoting a strong safety cultureMaintain maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentationDrive 5S, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives across the maintenance functionQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial, or processing environmentsStrong hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshootingExperience managing preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systemsProven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement measurable improvementsKnowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and maintenance best practicesExperience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferredStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience with spare parts inventory management and equipment reliability strategies preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWhy is This a Great Opportunity :Growth Opportunity: Opportunity to grow into an Operations Management role within the company over time, depending on performance and interest.401(k) with matchingHealth, Life, Vision, and Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programPaid time off
