Assistant Store ManagerAt Midas we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis and repair utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience. We are looking for Automotive Service Assistant Managers to assist managing and direct all service department activities of a retail store engaged in selling tires and related automotive parts and mechanical services. This position is Assistant Store Manager developmental role. Midas is committed to training our associates and promoting from within the organization.Benefits: 401(k), bonus based on performance, employee discounts, health insurance, paid time off.Responsibilities: Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in the operation of the shop, including ensuring a safe, secure, and trustworthy work environment, liaising between managers, customers, and employees, filling in for Manager in times of absence, making executive decisions, holding meetings and providing accountability, supporting ongoing learning and development of team members, establishing strategic goals, leading by example, managing and training team, delivering exceptional customer service, overseeing complete vehicle inspection, discussing pricing estimates with customers, promoting shop service specials and financing options, monitoring the quality of all vehicles being signed out, supervising up to 10 employees, closely monitoring inventory levels, maintaining a clean and organized job site, and other duties as assigned.Qualifications: A minimum of 1 years of store or service assistant manager experience, general automotive knowledge, excellent customer service disposition, good communication skills, leadership ability, team building skills, ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays, valid driver's license.Qualities that make you stand out from the rest: Attention to detail and organizational skills, understanding the current performance of the location and asks for assistance if needed, reliable, has mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, great leadership skills in shops, well spoken, excellent at following directions.
