Cath Lab Clinician RN

Overview 40 hours (four 10‑hour shifts) per week. After‑hours / weekend on‑call required. Exempt position. Pay commensurate with experience. $10,000 signing bonus available. Job Description Summary Performs the operation, maintenance, and application of cardiac catheterization, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures. Provides professional nursing care and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. Maintains current Ohio nursing license. Essential Functions Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in compliance with protocols, policies, and guidelines. Prepare patients for procedures, including allergy documentation, and monitor patients’ conditions during procedures (e.g., blood pressure and heart rate). Administer drugs and blood products under the orders and supervision of a physician. Document according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Educate patients and families on cardiac catheterization procedures and policies. Maintain and clean cardiac equipment and uphold laboratory safety. Engage in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding quality improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings; report important information and updates back to staff. Work in accordance with on‑call and scheduling requirements for the Catheterization and Electrophysiology Team. Education Requirements BSN required. Licensure Requirements Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Ohio. Certifications BLS required. PALS and ACLS certifications required within 4 months of employment. Experience One year of catheterization lab nurse or critical care experience preferred. Congenital heart disease experience preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lb and pull or push up to 100 lb with assistance. Must wear lead aprons up to 25 lb. Must handle high temperatures, cold environments, and manage high‑level stress in emergency situations.
