Audit Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Audit Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating audit engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to demonstrate their expertise in the nonprofit and construction sectors, external audit procedures, and certified public accounting (CPA). Responsibilities Plan and manage audit engagements, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with firm standards and regulatory requirements. Review audit work papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment. Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior management and clients. Collaborate with other departments to streamline audit processes and enhance overall service delivery. Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in regulations, ensuring our practices remain compliant and up-to-date. Participate in business development initiatives, contributing to the growth and success of our firm. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required. Minimum of five years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audits in the nonprofit and construction sectors. Extensive knowledge of external audit procedures and regulations. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex audit issues. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising on quality. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
