As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Tuscaloosa, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter incidents, and support access activities with strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a chemical and petrochemical environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and/or access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed by site policies, and report security-related issues involving restricted areas, equipment, and/or operational zones.
• Support emergency preparedness efforts by communicating during evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and/or other site responses while following post orders and established location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
