RN - Oncology

This position is for a travel RN at OSU-James Cancer Hospital and Research. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three times a week for 36 hours per week. The duration is 16 weeks, starting on July 27, 2026, and ending on November 16, 2026.

The unit is a mixed acuity PCU and MS unit specializing in oncology. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Preferred certifications are Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and Chemotherapy Certification. EPIC experience is required.

Skills required include MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response Teams, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and nasal cannula administration.

Travel experience is required, and candidates must meet experience requirements within the last three years, with at least one year of current specialty experience.

Locals are accepted at the same rate. Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity. Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for six months or more. Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location.
