Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Onsite | 4x10 Schedule – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served
• Maintain accountability for individualized patient outcomes across the entire episode of care
• Coordinate care collaboratively with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Exercise continuous intensive mental effort to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and sound clinical judgment
• Float to other areas of the organization up to competency level as departmental needs require, including potential coverage on weekends, holidays, and call shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical nursing experience required
• Ability to fulfill call requirements of 4 days per month

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced surgical or trauma environment
• Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center protocols and standards of care
