The Assistant performs a wide-variety of administrative duties related to operations, customer service, research and other programming that supports the museum’s mission. The Assistant should be a motivated, positive influence and make decisions for the benefit of the museum within the scope of the mission and the position as assigned.Required: Associates Degree or a minimum of three years proven experience providing administrative support in office environment.Must have some knowledge of Osage history, culture, artifacts and art.Must have proficiency in clerical and computer skills (Microsoft, Excel, databases, etc.) with a broad range of office-related skills and knowledge of computer hardware and software.Basic knowledge of museum practices and methods preferred but not required.Ability to work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision.Requires a high level of problem solving, organizational, time management, multi-tasking, professional writing, and verbal communication skills.Must be well organized, detail oriented, accurate, punctual, motivated, hard-working, flexible, proactive, and reliable.Must work well under pressure, with a proven ability to prioritize and multi-task.Ability to learn quickly and see projects through to completion in a timely fashion.Ability to draft professional correspondence.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation.Requires a high level of personal integrity and high ethical standards, and be committed to best professional practices.Requires the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to meet organizational goals; ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.Must have the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, assistants, supervisors, other departments/agencies and the public.Must be able to work occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.Must be able to pass a criminal background check.Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing.Must have a clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles. #J-18808-Ljbffr Osage-Nation
