Credit Underwriter, Equipment Finance

We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join a growing equipment finance platform. This individual will be responsible for underwriting equipment finance lease and loan transactions across a range of industries and asset classes. The ideal candidate will have experience underwriting both direct-originated and syndicated transactions, with exposure to commercial vehicles, construction equipment, machine tools, and other essential-use assets. Key Responsibilities Underwrite and structure small-ticket equipment finance lease and loan transactions. Analyze new and existing customers through detailed financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit evaluation. Prepare concise, well-reasoned credit memoranda and recommendations. Support the structuring and negotiation of transaction terms and conditions. Evaluate creditworthiness for new, renewal, and extension transactions. Assist with transaction closing and coordination with internal teams, clients, and legal counsel. Ensure all lending decisions comply with established credit policies, procedures, and risk parameters. Qualifications Approximately 2–5 years of relevant credit underwriting experience. Prior experience in equipment finance, leasing, commercial lending, or a related credit environment. Strong financial statement analysis and financial modeling capabilities.
