We are partnering with a leading nonprofit healthcare system in the Twin Cities metro area to hire a Human Resources Business Partner based in Golden Valley, MN. Our client operates a network of hospitals, specialty centers, and clinics throughout the region, delivering compassionate, community-focused care to hundreds of thousands of patients each year. Job Description
The Human Resources Business Partner will proactively collaborate with business unit leaders to promote a positive labor and team member relations climate. This role investigates, manages, and resolves workplace issues in partnership with leadership, while anticipating HR-related needs across the organization. The HRBP will serve as a trusted HR resource for leaders and team members on all business initiatives and issues related to human resources, ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of HR services.
Key accountabilities include:
  • Advising team members and leaders on policies, procedures, labor contracts, and employment-related laws.
  • Partnering with leaders to deliver consistent HR best practices anchored in kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • Coaching employees and leaders on performance improvement and conduct-related matters.
  • Conducting intakes on team member and leader concerns.
  • Partnering with the Senior HRBP on leader-related performance concerns.
  • Reviewing and providing coaching on performance improvement documentation prior to delivery, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Participating in accommodation conversations and leading religious accommodation requests.
  • Responding to unemployment claims and participating in unemployment hearings.
  • Managing the intake of performance improvement documents and ensuring they are added to the appropriate database.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (documentation required).
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience working in complex union environments
  • Demonstrated experience in employee and team member relations.
  • Updated resume with complete work history.
  • Two supervisory references with dates of employment listed (documentation required).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior HR experience within a healthcare or large nonprofit organization.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Experience supporting HR functions in a unionized or labor contract environment.
  • Familiarity with coaching leaders through complex performance and accommodation matters.
