Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license in the state
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or related nursing environment is highly valued
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Ability to perform screenings, manage health records, and administer medication as required
• Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and care for students with chronic conditions

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day health care to students, assessing and treating minor injuries and illnesses
• Track and document student health concerns, maintaining confidential and accurate records
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policy
• Respond to health emergencies, delivering timely and effective care
• Educate students and staff on general wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Work with educators and parents to address any student health concerns and provide support for chronic medical needs
