The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for managing patient demographics, verifying patient insurance coverage, and processing claims in an accurate and timely manner. The Revenue Cycle Specialist performs all tasks in accordance with best practices, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare revenuecycle operation role preferred

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Officeapplications

• Ability to exercise initiative, and work independently withlittle supervision

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills withthe ability to work under pressure, manage conflict, and appropriatelyprioritize responsibilities

• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written,with physicians, nursing facility staff, patients, responsible parties, andother members of the team

• Knowledge of general accounting principles, revenue cycleprocesses, medical insurance, and associated regulations preferred

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinessimultaneously

• Ability to resolve exceptions and to interpret data

• Proficient in data entry

• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills,including the ability to interface with third party payers

• Proficiency in the English language is required

• Must be at least 18 years of age
