Territory Sales Representative

This is a field-based sales role covering the state of Michigan. You must currently live in the Detroit metro area to be considered. Employment Solutions is hiring a Territory Sales Representative for an established consumer products manufacturer. This is a direct hire role with a $75,000 base salary plus a robust bonus and commission structure that meaningfully increases total earning potential, a monthly car allowance progressing to a company vehicle, and full benefits. The territory: You will own the Michigan territory, with Detroit as your home base. There is an established book of accounts and stocking locations to service from day one, alongside strong new-account opportunity across the state. Expect regular travel across Michigan with overnight stays as the territory demands. Because of the travel footprint and account density, we are only reviewing candidates who currently live in the greater Detroit metro area. The role: You will drive sales two ways: opening new stocking locations and increasing sales velocity at accounts already carrying the product. Target accounts include electrical supply houses, lumber yards, hardware stores, and local grocery chains. The role starts at roughly 70% new account acquisition and 30% merchandising at existing accounts, then shifts toward merchandising, upselling, and off-shelf displays as the territory matures. A typical week involves: In-person site visits to open new accounts and service existing ones Product demos, tradeshow support, and in-store events Off-shelf display placement and merchandising execution Salesforce logging of daily activity, pipeline, and account signings Partnering with a Regional Growth Support Associate on scheduling and account prep Multi-day trips across Michigan as the territory demands You are a fit if you: Currently live in the Detroit metro area (this is ideal) Have 2 to 10 years of field sales, route sales, merchandising, or territory management experience Come from CPG, beverage distribution, retail execution, or a brokerage background Have called on hardware, automotive, electrical, grocery, or convenience channels Run your own schedule well and hit KPIs without close supervision Are competitive, organized, physically active, and comfortable on the road Hold a valid driver's license and clean driving record Total package: Monthly activity bonuses (visit volume and new stocking locations) Quarterly territory growth commissions on year-over-year revenue First-year launch bonus for new hires Annual EBITDA gain share bonus Monthly car allowance and gas card, transitioning to a company-branded vehicle Medical, dental, vision effective the first of the month following start date Unlimited paid time off Real growth opportunities with a company investing in territory expansion #J-18808-Ljbffr
