Job Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, working with adult patients in various settings including respiratory, cardiac, and orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult patients, including assessment and treatment of respiratory conditions.
• Float as needed to various units, including ICU, ED, floors, and other departments, ensuring competent clinical practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participate in call and holiday coverage as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and treatments.

Patient Population

The patient population will primarily consist of adults with respiratory, cardiac, and orthopedic conditions. There will be opportunities to provide care in various department settings, including the Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medical Surgical (MS), Telemetry (TELE), Psychiatric (PSYCH), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RRT certification through NBRC or an equivalent certifying body is required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• NRP certification is highly desired.
• EPIC experience is required.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in respiratory therapy is preferred.
• Previous travel experience is necessary.

Work Schedule

This position involves 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM with an every-other-weekend rotation. Mandatory overtime may be required to ensure appropriate unit coverage.

As part of the team, you will be included in the staff rotation pool and may be asked to work additional hours as needed. Additionally, floating to different departments within 30 miles of your assigned location may occur, ensuring you work within your clinical competencies.
