Lead Bartender

Restaurant ManagerAccountable for emphasizing duties like assessing customer satisfaction, assigning tasks to bartenders, training new employees, solving customer inquiries, managing restaurant staff work schedules and recommending special menu items. This position is responsible for assisting in directing and organizing the activities and services of the department.Essential Job Functions: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Lead and coach the team towards achieving "Championship" guest service and employee satisfaction resultsConducting regular inspections of the restaurant to determine whether proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service; respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally.Maintain quality control for all food and beverages served.Responsible for supervision of short- and long-term planning of Outlets.Full understanding of employee engagement and accountabilityResponsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearancePlan, coordinate & manage special events and holiday functionsAbility to take the initiative to run the outlets as a free-standing entityMust be able to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidaysQualification Requirements:A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced multi-outlet environmentMust be proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point of sale systems (Micros)Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organizedCandidates should possess proven leadership skillsCandidates should possess strong food and beverage knowledge. Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits and beerHotel experience with operating multiple Outlets and Bars and a thorough understanding of restaurant serviceEducation and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Two years high volume bartending/food & beverage supervisor experience and one-year resort or country club experience required.Language Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate and work well with fellow employees and other departments. Maintain a presentable appearance, behavior and manner at all times. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand for long hours of the day; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, carry, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment: Work is generally performed at the bar area.
