Project EngineerLocation: Albany, NY 12207 Duration: 12+ Months Pay Range: $50-$55 per hour Hybrid Role: Min 3 days/week in office Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7.5-hour workday with 0.5-hour unpaid lunch, paid for time worked only.Project OverviewIn pursuit of the goal to support the development of clean energy technologies, this role will support AGILe lab projects supported by NYSERDA and other NYS stakeholders for helping achieve CLCPA goals.Job Functions & ResponsibilitiesWorks with limited/minimum supervision, in accordance with the Project Management procedure guidelines, to ensure that projects schedule and deliverables from both internal and external parties are successfully maintained.Performs a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarize with his/her work group, engineering methods, practices, and programs of the organization. Tasks are limited in scope.Reviews design and bid evaluations as they relate to overall project completion and provides recommendations.Assists Project Manager/Engineer in coordinating and reconciling review comments from members of other groups within the organization to meet the timely project schedule.Effectively engage and coordinate with internal and external parties to make sure the projects run smoothly and according to the planned schedule. This will include but are not limited to frequent follow-ups, scheduling calls, taking minute of meetings, and organizing the notes, files, and folders.Performs cost studies and cost-benefit analyses to ensure that the project activities are performed in the most cost-effective manner in order to remain within budgetary and regulatory guidelines.Generates and maintain/monitor project schedules.Overview of AssignmentWork with the project lead as well as outside contractors to support the overall project, administration and oversight. Responsibilities including but not limited to perform a variety of PM tasks under project guidelines and procedure, cost/budget control and build and maintain project schedule, distribute and review documentation related to the project process and project configurations of assigned projects and support the power system engineers with administrative and limited oversight responsibilities.SkillsPM experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of state-of-the-art project management and contract administration.Ability to effectively use MS Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.Excellent writing, verbal, and written communication skills.Critical Skillsets and ExperienceHighly Motivated, self-directed and the ability to work independently.Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, including preparing and delivering comprehensive project updates and reports.Experience in maintaining professional relationships with external consultants, coordinating and following up on deliverables, and ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.Ability to work as a team member, maintaining day to day activities while being responsive to changing priorities.Excellent writing, verbal and written communication skills.Project management experience.Education & CertificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, or Project Management related fields.Minimum of 3 year of project management experience, preferably in the energy sector.
