Travel assignment, 13 weeks, 12hr nights, 36 hours a week, starting December 7, 2026.

Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,235 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,514.67 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room: This position provides comprehensive nursing care for emergency patients through assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The role coordinates with the healthcare team, supports patient and family education, and promotes safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Assignment dates: 12/07/2026–03/06/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; at least two years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) experience; prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center; prior travel experience; and experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, professional certification, and experience in a hospital with more than 500 beds.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position rotates between two Emergency Departments, including a Level I Trauma Center and a Level III Trauma Center. Responsibilities include patient assessment, development and revision of individualized care plans, direct care delivery, delegation and supervision, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient and family education, accurate documentation, and participation in quality improvement activities. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, and assisting patients with ambulation and transfers.
