The Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for the residents of our retirement community, taking them to and from appointments and waiting for them during the appointments.Responsibilities:Drive residents to and from appointments and waiting for them duringAssist residents on and off the vehicle, sometimes pushing their wheelchair as necessaryFollow and uphold the Community’s philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of lifeFollow and uphold policies and procedures of the CommunityAttend and participate in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assignedObserve residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.Promote positive public relations with residents, family members and guestsAssist in coordination of scheduling and daily appointments.Complete any other assignments including tasks assigned to other departmentsQualifications: The Driver must have a clean driving record and be able to safely operate an oversized van with wheelchair lift.
