Customer Service Representative

Job Description Lin Zhao Insurance Agency, a Farmers Insurance Agency in Fremont, is seeking a full-time, in-office Bilingual Customer Service Representative to support both customer service and new insurance sales. This role is ideal for someone who is fluent in Mandarin and English, enjoys helping people, and is comfortable building relationships and discussing insurance solutions. You will service existing clients while following up with leads, identifying coverage needs, preparing quotes, and helping grow new personal and commercial insurance business. Assist existing clients with policy changes, renewal follow-up, billing and payment questions, document collection, and general service needs. Follow up promptly with new leads, referrals, quotes, and renewal opportunities. Build relationships with prospects and clients; identify insurance needs and present appropriate coverage options within licensing authority. Prepare quotes, collect application information and supporting documents, and assist with new policy applications. Support the sale of new personal and commercial insurance policies and contribute to agency production goals. Accurately enter, verify, and update client information, quotes, communication records, and follow-up tasks in agency systems. Protect confidential client information and collaborate with the team to deliver excellent service and agency growth. Requirements Fluent Mandarin and English, spoken and written; able to communicate independently with bilingual clients. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong phone presence, active listening, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities and complete follow-up on time. Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and learning CRM or agency-management systems. Customer service, sales, insurance, banking, financial services, or administrative support experience is preferred. Cantonese proficiency is a plus. Candidates may apply without an active insurance license, but the California insurance license required for assigned duties must be obtained before the start date. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Comfortable with customer service, relationship-building, lead follow-up, and sales conversations.
