Assistant Manager Of Pharmacy OperationsThe Assistant Manager of Pharmacy Operations supports the pharmacy leadership team in overseeing daily operations, regulatory compliance, and staff supervision. This role ensures adherence to departmental policies, promotes efficient workflows, and fosters team development through training, performance evaluations, and ongoing communication. The assistant manager also collaborates across campuses to improve pharmacy services, medication safety, and operational effectiveness.Responsibilities include:Assure readiness with all regulatory agencies and compliance with department, hospital, and AH policies and procedures. All documentation is maintained and/or submitted in a timely manner.Reviews and develops policy and procedure, guidelines, and protocols to meet regulatory, organizational, and departmental requirements and best standards.Ensure communication and team competencies for clinical pharmacy are ongoing and meeting all the regulatory, organizational and department requirements.Supervise pharmacy staff, including supervisors, and pharmacy services.Review and follow up on any disciplinary offenses, conduct performance reviews, recognize, and develop team members in their roles.Actively participate in multi-disciplinary committees and meetings.Work collaboratively cross campus on improvements of pharmacy services and medication use.Support the pharmacist-in-charge in the vision and department goals, assist team members and is being flexible in roles and responsibilities.Collaborative member of pharmacy leadership team assisting with departmental initiatives.QualificationsEducation/ExperienceGraduated from accredited school of pharmacy requiredCurrent NJ Board of Pharmacy license required3 years of hospital experience with leadership assignmentsAbout UsAt Atlantic Health, our promise to our communities is; anyone who enters one of our facilities will receive the highest quality care delivered at the right time, at the right place, and at the right cost. At Morristown Medical Center and Newton Medical Center we have full-service retail pharmacies. They provide prescription medication services to patients and the local community in a convenient location on the first floor of the hospital, inside the Corner Store Gift Shop at Morristown and behind the coffee shop at Newton adjacent to the main entrance.
