About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Must-Have: 1 year of Emergency Department experience TNCC and ENPC preferred Description: General Comments: Unit specifics include a total of 18 beds with patient ratios of 4/5:1. The unit is staffed with RNs, Nurse Externs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries. Equipment available includes Zolls, Ultrasound systems, GE Monitors with 12 lead, Welch Allen Vital Signs monitors, and BD IVs. Documentation is performed through Meditech. Scheduling requires availability for every other weekend. The floating policy is in place for assistance as needed. Patient experience expectations include professionalism, respect, kindness, and passion towards patients. Advanced skills are recommended, including TNCC and ENPC. Procedures performed on the unit consist of IV placements, blood collection, medication administration, and documentation. The dress code requires blue scrubs, with no off-brand hoodies or jackets unless preapproved by policy. Unit-specific guidelines and policies apply.
