Job Title: Fabricator Job Description

The Fabricator assembles and fabricates metal and hydraulic lines in a small manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools to build mechanical and hydraulic assemblies. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings, crimping, cutting, and stripping wires, and completing high-quality assemblies that meet production standards.

• Assemble and fabricate metal components and hydraulic lines according to specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical and hydraulic assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and drawings to complete assemblies accurately.
• Crimp, cut, and strip wires as required for assembly and fabrication work.
• Follow production instructions and meet established quality and productivity standards.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet measurement, fit, and functional requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the manufacturing plant.
• Handle tools, equipment, and materials in a safe and responsible manner.
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth production flow and resolve assembly issues.

• Approximately 2 years of assembly or fabrication experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical and hydraulic assembly work.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and drawings.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and hydraulic assembly processes.
• Ability to use crimpers and other specialized tools to crimp, cut, and strip wires.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality in assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a production environment and meet deadlines.

• Experience working in a small manufacturing plant or production facility.
• Comfort working with metal components and hydraulic lines.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently.
• Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and assembly methods.
• Strong problem-solving skills when interpreting drawings or resolving assembly issues.
• Reliable work habits, including punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.

The role is based in a small manufacturing plant with approximately 2030 people, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere. Work is performed in a production environment that focuses on mechanical and hydraulic assembly using hand tools, power tools, crimpers, and other equipment. The position operates on a first shift schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing daytime hours and a predictable routine.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glen Burnie, MD.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Glen Burnie,MD.
