We are a passion‑led, mission‑driven organization committed to meaningful community impact.Position SummaryThe Beacon Director (BD) oversees all operations of a school‑based Beacon Community Center and reports to the Director of Beacon Services. This role leads program implementation aligned with QCH’s Mission, Vision, and Positioning (MVP) and ensures high‑quality youth and community development services.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with QCH policies, funder requirements (DYCD, foundations), and regulatory agencies (DOH, DOL, DOE)Inspire, coach, and lead a team of two full-time supervisors and roughly twenty part-time employees, who take ownership over the development of high-quality community and youth development programming and relationships.Maintain accurate attendance, data entry, and reporting in all required systemsReview program data regularly to inform priorities and improvementsPlan and support special events, staff meetings, advisory councils, and professional developmentBuild and maintain strong partnerships with school leadership, staff, families, funders, and community stakeholdersRepresent QCH through outreach and community meetingsMonitor staff attendance and approve timesheetsOversee program budget, fiscal controls, petty cash, and reconciliationsRespond to emergencies and conduct crisis intervention as neededOversee subcontracted and co‑located programsEnsure proper documentation, file maintenance, and audit readinessMaintain timely communication with supervisors, staff, and partnersComplete special projects and additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Social Services, Social Work, Public/School Health, Education, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of supervisory and management experience in youth or community developmentExperience with outreach, retention, budgeting, performance‑based contracts (DYCD preferred), and regulatory complianceAbility to meet NYS School‑Aged Child Care Program Director requirements and obtain required clearancesAvailability for evenings and weekendsAbility to work both in person and remotelyPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in a related fieldCPR and First Aid CertificationBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Paid Family Leave (QCH supplements NYS PFL to ensure full pay during approved leave)403(b) Retirement PlanGenerous time off (Vacation and Sick)Specified federal holidays offProfessional development and training opportunitiesEqual Opportunity EmployerQueens Community House, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under applicable laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch Corp.
