Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assist clinicians in assessing patient health. Manage medical records efficiently, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering instructions for upcoming procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably within gastroenterology or related specialties. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like Medical Assisting are highly desirable. Prior experience with inpatient settings or hospital environments is preferred. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse populations. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, medication administration, and specimen collection accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of medical office management practices including scheduling, documentation, and administrative support functions.
