Description

• Rotation: 36 hours per week, day/evening rotation (7:00am-7:30pm, 11:00am-11:30pm, 3:00pm-3:30am)
• Schedule includes 2 weekends in a 4-week period and every other holiday
• Must be flexible with floating to areas including Psych ED and Pedi ED, caring for patients aged 15+ unless previous pediatric experience exists

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks; must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher

Preferred Experience

• Experience with EPIC software
• Previous travel assignments
• Critical care experience

Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• All certifications must be active and unexpired

Patient Ratio and Department Details

• Patient ratio: 1:4-5, depending on acuity
• Busy emergency department with up to 120 treatment areas serving 350-440 patients daily
• Note: Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during assignment
