Charge Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for an ICU position. The role involves promoting and restoring patients' health by managing daily operations in the patient care area, directing and developing nursing staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The Charge RN will provide both physical and psychological support to patients and their families, establishing rapport and understanding their service needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement patient care plans while ensuring compliance with established nursing standards.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection-control policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to deliver quality patient care.
• Assess and adjust nursing operations to meet strategic goals and improve patient outcomes.
• Engage patients and their families by providing education on disease management, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation and participate in audits and quality assurance activities.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with shifts on Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays from 06:00 to 18:30.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have current California RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent charge nurse experience and ICU supervisory experience is essential.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
