Job Description\n GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2236.72\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Med Surg\n Job Details:\n • 12-hour day shifts with weekends scheduled as needed\n • Typically scheduled for 1 out of every 2 weekends\n • No standby or on-call requirement\n • Acute care setting with 30-bed unit\n • Patient ratios of 1:6/7 - must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7\n • Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI\n • Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians\n • RNs required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results\n • Intermittent BiPAP management required; no ventilator management\n • Charge RN on the floor with assignment\n • PCTs available on the unit\n • Floating to other units as needed based on census; travel nurses floated first\n • Up to 2 shift cancellations per 13-week contract\n • Charting system: EPIC\n • Scrub color: Navy Blue\n • Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius\n • Must submit a copy of unexpired driver's license with application\n • Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission\n • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS\n Facility:\n This acute care facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for a variety of diagnoses including cardiac, pulmonary, and infectious conditions.
