Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Saturday – Monday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Weekend Charge Nurse for the Operating Room, overseeing staff and workflow across a 22-OR suite
• Scrub and/or circulate on a variety of surgical service lines including robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and GYN
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout perioperative care
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient OR operations
• Fulfill call requirements of approximately 4–5 shifts and 4–5 late shifts per 6-week period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience
• Neuro/Spine experience required
• Candidates applying to the Cardiac service line must have Cardiac OR experience
• Ability to work weekend day shifts (Saturday – Monday)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple surgical service lines (orthopedics, neuro, general surgery, robotics)
• Familiarity with procedures such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spinal fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps
• Experience with robotic surgical platforms and advanced OR technology
• Charge Nurse or leadership experience in a perioperative setting
