Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Cassandra clusters and other NoSQL databases (Couchbase, MongoDB) for production workloads.
• Perform operational tasks including upgrades, capacity planning, backup/recovery and performance tuning.
• Develop automation (Ansible, scripts) to standardize deployments and reduce manual operational overhead.
• Collaborate with application, platform and SRE teams to define scalable data models and reliable operational runbooks.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement of database operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional database development and operations experience, with hands-on Cassandra expertise.
• Strong familiarity with Couchbase, MongoDB, Postgres and Oracle, and broad NoSQL operational skills.
• Demonstrated experience in data architecture and data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Practical experience with automation tools (Ansible) and programming/scripting (Python, Java, Go, Shell).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines and Agile team practices.
