Licensed Practical Nurse

Overview We are hiring for: LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse / Facility Based Crisis Nurse. Type: Regular. Responsibilities Performing nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed. Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated. Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements. Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement; attend applicable meetings as necessary. Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Requirements Active and current LPN licensure in state of employment. 2 years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferred. Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence-based treatment and preventative methods. Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required. Pre-employment screening Complete criminal background check. Name checked in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities). Drug testing. Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements. Proof of employment history or references (if required). Positions that require driving require proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
