Paraprofessional

The School Board of Highlands County is seeking a paraprofessional for the Paraprofessional - Enhancement position. The paraprofessional will assist with a variety of tasks including clerical duties, special needs support, and instructional assistance. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and may include physical requirements such as lifting and bending. Additional qualifications may include typing skills, experience with special education procedures, and a valid Florida driver's license for paras transporting students. The paraprofessional will also engage in community outreach and support for families, and participate in district committees to provide a parent perspective.

Pay grade options are 8, 9, and 10, with corresponding educational requirements ranging from a high school diploma to an associate's degree or higher. Performance will be appraised annually in accordance with School Board policies.
