Account Manager

Roquette is a family‑owned global leader in plant‑based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients. We are looking for our next Key Account Manager within our Industrial Cellulosics Team. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a territory of existing industrial customers in North America and at the same time exploring and developing new markets, customers and applications. This position is located in Wilmington, DE or home‑based. Compensation The current salary range for this role is $120,000‑$165,000 and may also be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation. The final compensation offered will depend on skills, qualifications, experience and location. What You’ll Do Deliver the sales plan on a customer and territory level Build relationships with key stakeholders in the customer organization Develop an in‑depth understanding of customer needs and capabilities Create, maintain, and progress an opportunity pipeline to drive above‑market growth in the territory Scout new potential customers in previously unknown industrial markets and/or new applications Adapt product value proposition to new applications, as needed Compose commercial proposals for existing and new customers, coordinate trials, conduct business reviews, forecast demand, and other hands‑on activities Establish new commercial relationships quickly and foster internal relationships with regional teams worldwide What You’ll Need Education: Chemistry or technical background/degree combined with at least 8 years in sales, application development or customer‑facing roles Experience in coatings, paints, ceramics or paper markets is a strong plus Other: Excellent teamwork skills Ability to relate and adapt across multiple cultures Strong entrepreneurial drive and a desire to deliver solutions with speed and agility Customer focus and action orientation – embracing new opportunities and tough challenges with urgency, energy and enthusiasm Results orientation – consistently achieving results, even under difficult circumstances Effective communication – delivering multi‑mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences Business Travel Travel required when working with customers throughout the US Occasional international travel may be expected Physical Demands The employee is required to speak and hear, stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
