Shift Manager

Job TitleManages a staff of approximately 3 to 15 employees. Assigns, oversees and evaluates work. Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of employees based on performanceProvides on-the-job training for new employeesDelegates and is responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theftAssists in the supervision of the preparation, sales, and service of foodForecasts food items. Estimates what amount of each food item will be consumed per shiftSupervises food preparation and service operation while on duty. Assists in-shoppers during rush periods to ensure the maintenance of restaurant efficiencyAssists in-shoppers in greeting customers, taking orders, using the cash register, assembling order and checking for completeness and correctnessEnsure that every customer receives world-class customer serviceRoute deliveries and serve drivers to maximize delivery business and speedCompletes daily food preparation (opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production)Completes Closing ProceduresExecutes systems and procedures with 100% completeness and integrityCompletes daily and weekly paperworkResponsible for 100% of the cash drawers at all times during the shiftReceives and stores productAudits previous shift's systems and procedures for 100% integrity and completenessComplete preventive maintenance and upkeep on store's equipment and suppliesPerforms other related duties as requiredActs and speaks in a professional mannerTreats everyone they encounter with respectRequirementsMust be able to read and write and communicate in EnglishAbility to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervisionAbility to handle and resolve customer threats and issuesAbility to handle and resolve employee issuesSkills to use a personal computer and various software packages (Word/Excel)Ability to handle stress and high-volume operationsCompany IntroductionWe slice our all-natural* meats and fresh veggies in-house every day.
