NYS Certified Early Childhood Special Ed Educator

Job Summary:

Canarsie Childhood Center, a leading provider of early childhood education in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated NYS Certified Early Childhood Special Ed Educator to join our team. As a key member of our special education preschool program, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for our students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Implement curriculum aligned with Common Core State Standards

• Lead class, supervise two assistants, and monitor the classroom to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment

• Prepare weekly lesson plans and develop quality Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Evaluate students' progress in meeting IEP goals

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cooperative and team-oriented approach

Requirements:

• NYS Special Education Teacher certificate, Birth to grade 2

• Must have DOE clearance

Additional Information:

• Salary: $61,000.00 - $71,000 per year
