Title: Packaging Engineer II/Project Manager - Product Development (Cosmetics / Consumer Goods)Location: Clark, NJWork Arrangement: 3 days on site and 2 days remote (Clark, NJ)Assignment Length: 7-12 months, Covering maternity leaveApply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage cross-functional product development projects, including new product launches, product portfolio updates, and manufacturing plant transfers.The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience in product development, preferably within the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, or consumer goods industries.This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can independently manage projects from concept through launch, inspire cross-functional teams, identify risks, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation plans to ensure on-time launches in compliance with quality standards.Lead end-to-end product development and launch projects, including strategic product updates, plant transfers, and new product introductions.Present project reviews, communicate progress, and escalate risks to operational and divisional leadership.Partner with Marketing, Operations, Research & Development, and other cross-functional teams to define product concepts, feasibility, profitability, and launch requirements.Lead project review meetings, resolve roadblocks, and ensure accountability across stakeholders.Evaluate project feasibility based on cost, timelines, quality, and sustainability.Coordinate manufacturing plant transfers and support product harmonization, profitability, and sustainability initiatives.Manage project documentation, approvals, meeting minutes, action items, and follow-ups.Support feasibility costing, cost of goods (COG) analysis, and value analysis initiatives.Coordinate packaging development, component research, and technical feasibility assessments.Conduct risk assessments with cross-functional teams and develop contingency plans to maintain project timelines.Provide guidance and development support to team members on project execution, costing, and product development decisions.Maintain awareness of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in product development and packaging.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations, or a related technical discipline.4–6+ years of experience in product or packaging development and project management.Product development experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, consumer goods, or a related industry.Strong project management skills, including timeline development, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and project execution.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects independently and drive results with minimal supervision.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across cross-functional teams.Ability to work onsite, as required for this position.Preferred QualificationsTechnical packaging development experience.Experience managing product launches for global markets.Experience with packaging components, feasibility costing, cost of goods analysis, and product profitability.Experience working with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, and Research & Development.About Us:Founded in 2009, IntelliPro stands as a global leader in talent acquisition and HR solutions.
