Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >70 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - SSM Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Adult critical care and emergency department experience required. - Community hospital experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Pediatrics experience preferred.

Required Credentials: - RRT or CRT required.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Also cares for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents, including nursery patients requiring stabilization prior to transfer to a higher level of care. - Cares for patients with pulmonary illness, including adult ICU and mechanically ventilated patients. - Provides respiratory care treatments including breathing treatments, pulmonary hygiene, and non-invasive ventilation. - May rotate through charge position if needed.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekends are varied but usually every 3-4th. - Holiday and weekend rotation. - Up to 4 call shifts per 6 week schedule.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
