Quality Control Technician

Title: Quality Control Technician FTE Status: Full Time - 40 hours
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly Reports To: Quality Manager
Primary Purpose of Position: $20-$24.50 Hr
Performs quality-related inspection, record keeping, testing, analysis, and reporting activities to ensure ICE products meet customer specifications and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Provides support in maintaining the Quality Management System.
Essential Functions:
o Implementing corrective actions and process improvements
o Assist in root cause analyses of quality problems
Bachelor's degree or minimum of four years' work experience in a related field

Essential Functions:
- Performs inspections with the use of gauge blocks, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Operates technical inspection equipment (i.e. Faro arm, Instron, etc.) and generates formal inspection reports
- Creates and maintains records for handling nonconforming product and materials
- Performs inspections of incoming materials and components to ensure conformance to acceptance criteria
- Supports effort to maintain Quality Management System (ISO 9000 and AS9100) by:
o Implementing corrective actions and process improvements
o Assist in root cause analyses of quality problems
- Supports programs that assist manufacturing in consistent quality improvement effort
- Assists in training personnel as directed
- Works with suppliers and customers as directed
- Works on various assigned quality projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Demonstrated proficiency in EXCEL
- Familiar with statistical methods/SPC
- Manage job stress and interact effectively with others
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Utilize strong organizational skills
- Perform detail-oriented functions
- Prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Function independently as well as part of a team
- Basic skills to utilize MS Office Suite applications and navigate through a local area computer network
- Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Continue education and attend quality training

- Direct report to Quality Manager
- Dotted line report to Shift Supervisor for daily product inspection priorities
- Works directly with other employees in a team environment
- Works with engineering, management, and production crew for problem-solving and production improvements
