Program Buyer
Purem Novi, Inc.
Objective of the Position: This position represents Supply Chain Management for potential and new business in the Program Team activities, and acts as a single point representative of contact for SCM; accountable for meeting target cost for new programs. Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Responsible for target costing for new projects.
- Act as the Program Manager for SCM - Timing, APQP & Cost Management until SOP
- Responsible for Flawless launches.
- Drives concurrent engineering activities and early prototype supplier involvement.
- Coordinates technical reviews (with Supplier Development, Commodity Buyer, Eng, & Mfg)
- Works with Commodity Buyer (CB) for estimates/RFQ/source recommendation form
- Obtain consensus with program team on source selections.
- Coordinate all Change Management requirements affecting suppliers.
- Capture SCM lessons learned and provide to program team
- Organized by BU and linked to Design center
- Intelligent Forward Planning (CIP)
- Procurement Market- Benchmark Studies
- Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in field or closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working for a manufacturing supplier preferably automotive.
- Experience with an ERP system required.
- Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
- Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures
- Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
- Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
- Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
