Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Profession: MLT

Shift: 8H Day, Evening

Hours per Shift: 4x8 hour shifts, some weeks may be scheduled 5x8 hour shifts.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year

License: MLT or MT certified (specific state requirements apply)

Certifications: ASCP or AMT certification required; BLS (AHA) required

Must-Have: Generalist experience preferred; knowledge and experience with LIS systems such as Cerner Millennium; experience with specific laboratory equipment in designated areas.

Description:
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team.

The department covers various areas including Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis.

Generalist experience is desirable for this position.

Phlebotomy is not a requirement for this role.

The laboratory utilizes several advanced systems and equipment, including Beckman Coulter and Siemens, for various testing procedures.

Potential weekend and holiday coverage may be required.

Dress code is flexible, allowing scrubs or business casual attire.

Candidates must be prepared to work a range of shifts between 0500 and 2200.

Familiarity with laboratory information systems and automation processes is essential for this role.
