Job Title

Level II Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as needed per unit | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide competent, patient-centered care in a Medical Surgical float capacity based on established clinical standards
• Assume expanded role responsibilities including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member functions as needed
• Deliver care in alignment with clinical practice, service excellence, and evidence-based practice standards
• Adapt to rotating shift schedules across units, including days, evenings, and nights with no straight shift availability
• Participate in on-call and callback assignments per unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required — NY license only
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit nursing environment
• Experience serving in charge nurse or preceptor roles
