1st & 2nd SHIFT OKUMA 5 AXIS EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINISTS

We are seeking experienced Okuma 5-axis Machinists to join our team on our 1st and 2nd shifts. Our 2nd shift receives a 10% shift differential (in addition to hourly rate). The position We are seeking experienced Okuma 5-axis Machinists to operate our CNC machines utilizing the OSP-P300 CNC Control. You will be operating machines for valuable castings/forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. Typical 1st shift hours are 6:00 am-4:30 pm and 2nd shift hours are 4:20 pm-2:50 am Monday - Friday. Availability for overtime, including weekends and during peak production times, is a plus. This position offers a hire-on-bonus! Job duties Follow written instructions and read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Performs a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exact tolerances and finish specifications. Able to perform simple set-ups of many jobs. May operate more than one machine. Checks parts for conformance to specifications with precision gauges. Read and react accordingly to Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) reports Complete problem-solving activities with a continuous improvement mindset Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. The Right Person/What we need from you Preferred five or more years of combined formal training and true five-axis experience or equivalent. Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures, specifically the Okuma 5-axis OSP-P300 CNC Control. Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close Experience with part loading/unloading utilizing a crane and basic material handling knowledge Experience with manual clamping/part location as well as Experience with tool setup and compensation processes Geometric tolerancing and dimensioning trained Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Must be able to read and write English. Basic computer skills are a plus.
